Multan: National players which were part of the squad on the tour of England have joined respective teams and the bio-secure for the upcoming National T20 Cup.
These players include Muhammad Amir, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan of Northern. Central Punjab’s Abid Ali and Naseem Shah. Muhammad Abbas of Southern Punjab are also among the players.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usman Shinwari, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Hafeez, Fakhar Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Imran Khan Sr. and Iftikhar Ahmed have joined the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa squad.
Yasir Shah, Kashif Bhatti and Imam-ul-Haq of Balochistan while Sohail Khan, Muhammad Hasnain and Asad Shafiq have joined.
Sarfraz Ahmed and Kamran Akmal’s COVID-19 test report will come tomorrow whereas Fawad Alam has joined Sindh Second XI.
Sohail Tanvir, who took part in the Caribbean Premier League, joined Northern after clearing his both COVID-19 tests.
An individual, belonging to a First XI squad, who was isolated after his first test came out positive has cleared his second test. He will be eligible to join his team after clearing his third test, which will take place on 30 September.
It must be noted that First XI National T20 Cup will be played in Multan and Rawalpindi from September 30 to October 18. The second XI tournament will be held in Lahore from October 1-8. – Agencies
