ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency; CIA of Capital Cops have arrested three members of a criminal gang and recovered six snatched mobile phones and weapons from them.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-Ud-Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in crime of heinous nature. Owing to these efforts, a team headed by SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal including DSP CIA Hakim Khan, ASI Jaffar Ali and other officials successfully arrested three members of a criminal gang.
The accused were later identified as Momin Khan s/o Dolat khan resident of Pindora Rawalpindi, Dilber Khan s/o Gul Khan resident of Kachi Abadi Nazakat Market Sohan Islamabad and Saddam s/o Ali Asgher resident of Pindora Rawalpindi. Cops’ team also recovered six snatched mobile phones and weapons used in various criminal incidents. Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed of their involvement in incidents of looting citizens at gunpoint at various areas of IJP Road and PS Industrial Area jurisdiction areas.
Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed persons while further investigation is underway from them. The cops’ team is hopeful for more recovery from them. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials to ensure arrest of criminals at large and take effective policing measures in the city.
