Kyrgyz President embarks on State visit to Russia

Bishkek: President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov flew to Russia for a working visit.
During the visit, President Jeenbekov will hold bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discuss the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation. The meeting will take place in Sochi.
The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic includes: Minister of Foreign Affairs Chyngyz Aidarbekov, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President’s Office Daniyar Sydykov, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation Alikbek Dzhekshenkulov.
After his working visit to Russia, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov will fly to Hungary for official visit.
Meanwhile, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov has signed a Decree approving the State Strategy for 2021-2024 to combat corruption in the Kyrgyz Republic and eliminate its causes, his press service reported Monday.
In accordance with the Decree, it is stated: – to approve the State Strategy for 2021-2023 to combat corruption in the Kyrgyz Republic and eliminate its causes;
– to recommend that the Kyrgyz Government in conjunction with the Parliament and relevant state bodies, develop and adopt regulatory legal acts aimed at implementing the Strategy;
– to recommend that the Kyrgyz Government, the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic and other state bodies, as well as local governments, develop detailed action plans to counter corruption within a two-week period as part of Strategy implementation for the short and medium term;
– to recommend that the Kyrgyz Government on an ongoing basis coordinate and monitor timely and full implementation of anticorruption plans by the government and local authorities involved.
On Sept. 18, 2020 at a meeting of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan, the draft of a new State Strategy for 2021-2024 to combat corruption in the Kyrgyz Republic and eliminate its causes was considered and approved.–Agencies
