-Seven bikes, car recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to operate against anti-social elements, caught six criminals from various areas of the city and recovered stolen car, cash, valuables as well as other weapons from their possession.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminal elements. Following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
As par directions, SP City Omer Khan constituted special team under the supervision of DSP Iqbal Khan including PS Aabpara’s SHO, SI Shaukat Abbasi, ASI Gul Khan along with other officials which successfully arrested a wanted member of robber’s gang identified as Ehsan Rashid. Two snatched motorbikes, ATM Card and cash was also recovered from him while a car lifter namely Billa was also held and a stolen car recovered from the accused.
Moreover, SP Saddar Muhammad Sarfraz Virk constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Abid Ikram including PS Karachi Company’s SHO SI Saleem Raza along with other officials which successfully arrested Shoaib Ali and recovered two snatched mobile phones and weapons along with ammunition from him.
Another team headed by DSP Khalid Mehmood Awan including PS Golra’s SHO Inspector Shams-Ul-Akber, ASI Rana Saleem along with others arrested three members namely Shah Shaib, Aslam and Naveed Akhter and recovered four pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons and further investigation is undeway from them.
PS Sihala team, on the other hand, nabbed Suleman and Aamir Iqbal and recovered five snatched bikes,five mobile phones, laptop, weapon and ammunition from them. DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involve d in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
