Kyrgyzstan, Hungary agree to open direct flight route

Bishkek: Kyrgyzstan and Hungary agreed to open direct flights on the Bishkek-Budapest route, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban said summing up the meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, the Kyrgyz President’s press service said. Orban noted that the sides agreed to open direct flight on the Bishkek-Budapest route, which will become an important factor in bringing the two peoples closer together.
“If we want our contacts and our friendship to be permanent, then we need to open a direct flight. We agreed that there must be an air connection between Budapest and Bishkek. We create legal and financial conditions. We hope that the flight will be opened in the near future,” said the Hungarian prime minister.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov is paying official visit to Hungary.
Meanwhile, As part of his official visit to Hungary, Kyrgyzstan’s President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with his Hungarian counterpart János Áder.
Topical areas of Kyrgyz-Hungarian bilateral cooperation were discussed.
The sides also exchanged views on the issues of rational use of water resources and environmental protection, the Kyrgyz president’s press service reported.
The Hungarian leader noted fruitful negotiations between President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, which will certainly give an impetus to increasing joint interaction between the countries.
