HUHHOT: A camel beauty contest concluded Monday in Wulate Rear Banner, north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
According to the contest requirements, the camels walked 4 laps along the edge of an arena with their owners to show their charm and interact with the audience members outside the fence. The judge scored the camels in terms of coat color, posture, walking posture, and health. After the show, the camels with higher scores went through a second round of selection before the final place was determined.
Known as the “hometown of the Gobi red camel” and the “hometown of Mongolian camel polo,” Wulate Rear Banner is the main producing area of Gobi red camels in China. – Agencies
