CIA busts 6-member gang of criminals

ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency; CIA of Capital Cops arrested six members of a criminals’ gang and recovered car, stolen cash and other valuables from them.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities. Thus, SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted a police team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Sub-Inspector Ishfaq Memon and ASI Iftakhir Ahmed along with others. The team succeeded in arresting six members of a gang identified as Ameer, Anwer, Aashiq, Ghulam Asghar, Tajik and Gul Zaib.
Cops also recovered cash, wallets and valuables from them and impounded a vehicle. Further investigation is underway from the accused. DIG Islamabad Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance of CIA police team while directing to resolve the cases on immediate basis.

RAWALPINDI: ANF Rawalpindi, the staff of Police Station Regional Directorate Rawalpindi, intercepted a accused namely Haji Imam Din, resident of Islamabad at Islamabad International Airport, who was travelling to Heathrow (London) through flight no.BA-260 and recovered 1.824 kg Heroin (Brown) from his shoes.
