Kyrgyz Acting President receives Russian envoy

Bishkek: Acting President of Kyrgyzstan Talant Mamytov received Russian Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Nikolay Udovichenko.
During the meeting there was an exchange of opinions about current state of political and economic cooperation between the countries, the Kyrgyz president’s press service reported.
The acting president expressed gratitude to the Russian side for support in overcoming political crisis and also for multifaceted assistance to Kyrgyzstan during difficult period for the country related to coronavirus infection pandemic.
He also noted the need to increase the number of regular flights between the countries. “Citizens are allowed on the flight only if there is a negative PCR test result, which minimizes the risk of new coronavirus penetration in our countries. These measures also contribute to maintaining the regime of epidemiological security, and we can already return to full activity and interaction between our countries,” Acting President Mamytov stressed.
He also noted that inter-parliamentary cooperation plays a special role in establishing and strengthening relations between the states.
In turn, Nikolay Udovichenko stressed the Russian side cherishes bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan, which have a strategic and allied nature – the state maintain intensive political relations and political dialogue.
The ambassador added Russia is interested in complete stabilization of the political situation in Kyrgyzstan and further continuation of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Earlier, Acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov received today Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Nurpeisov.
