Pak, China Generals pledge to protect Iron Brotherhood

-China’s Gen. Wei Fenghe meets COAS, Chairman JCSC
-Pak Army greatly values time-tested, brotherly relations with China, says COAS Bajwa
-Both sides sign MoU, vow to tackle challenges jointly

RAWALPINDI: Enemies of Pakistan, China Friendship and forces confronting CPEC went sleepless on Monday when in a major development, Chinese Army’ top General, General Wei Fenghe, who is also China’s National Defense Minister paid a special visit to Rawalpindi, meeting Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of the Staff Committee, in visit that was apparently not announced publically and is being given a high profile importance by the regional and global defense observers and security analysts.
During the Monday’s episode, both Pakistani and Chinese military leaderships signed a high profile MoU with pledges to protect the Iron Brotherhood and with affirmation to deal with all the prevailing challenges with joint strategies and mutual efforts and synchronized planning.
According to a Press release by Inter Services Public Relations, Wei Fenghe called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday.
A series of messages on Twitter, the ISPR said that during the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and enhanced bilateral defence collaboration were discussed.
The army’s media wing said that the visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s sincere efforts for regional peace and provision of a secure environment for the CPEC projects.
“The COAS thanked the dignitary for China’s unwavering support to Pakistan on all key issues at regional and international forums.”
The ISPR in its press release said that the Pakistan Army greatly values their time-tested and brotherly relations with China.
“We have been standing together all along, and our relations will be no different in wake of future challenges”, COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa said.
Moreover, an MoU was also signed for enhancement of defence cooperation between both the armies. Minister of National Defence, laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada while a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the Guard of Honour to visiting dignitary. General Wei Fenghe also called on General Nadeem Raza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
Matters related to changing geostrategic environment and further strengthening of security and defence cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to ‘Iron Brotherhood’ and‘All-Weather’ friendship with continued efforts to forge deeper strategic ties for a shared future and security vision.
Earlier, upon arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, a smartly turned out tri-services contingent presented ‘Guard of Honour’ to the visiting dignitary.
