Waqas bags 6 wickets as CP bowls out Sindh for 92

Karachi: Waqas Maqsood bagged six wickets for Central Punjab (CP) as they bowled Sindh for 92 runs in the first inning on Day 2 of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy’s Fifth Round.
Waqas led CP’s bowling brilliantly as Bilawal Iqbal and skipper Hasan Ali followed his footsteps and took two and a wicket respectively to help their team take a healthy 184-runs lead.
In reply to CP’s 276-10, Sindh were completely failed to get off the mark in the first inning as their batters followed each other in losing their wickets after regular intervals. Saad Ali was the highest run-scorer with 17 runs with the help of three boundaries.
Later on, CP closed Day 2 at 96-5 with a total lead of 280 runs over the opponents. Mohammad Ikhlaq scored 56 runs to give a solid start to his team while batting in their second inning. Whereas, Saad Nasim (14) and Ali Shan (0) were not out at Day 2’s end.
For Sindh in the second inning, Mohammad Umar and Abrar Ahmed bagged two wickets each.
On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)’s bowlers helped them to bowl out Balochistan for 120 after scoring 320-10 in their first inning. With bowling splendidly well, KPK gained a handsome 172- runs lead which made their position strong in Sixth Round.
Irfanullah Shah bagged four wickets while Mohammad Wasim and Sameen Gul took three wickets each.
Bismillah Khan scored the highest 50 runs off 60 balls laced with six boundaries and a six for Balochistan.
In reply, KPK added 98 runs more to their lead as it reached 270 runs. KPK closed Day 2 at 98-3 with Irarullah (50*) and Adil Amin (18*) at the crease.
