Pakistan, NZ (A) first four-day match cancelled

Christchurch: The first four-day cricket match between New Zealand A and Pakistan Shaheens has been canceled.
The match was canceled on a request of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The national squad will now play several intra-squad practice matches in Queenstown from December 10-13.
PCB requested change or cancellation of match dates due to delay in players’ practice in managed Isolation.
All members of the national squad, including the Pakistan Shaheens, will leave for Queenstown on December 8.
To leave for Queenstown, each individual member of the squad will need the approval of the New Zealand Ministry of Health. The national cricket team and Pakistan Shaheens’ squad will stay at separate hotels upon arrival in Queenstown. The Pakistan Shaheens squad will leave Queenstown on December 14 for Whangārei, while on December 15, the senior team will leave for Auckland.
The first T20 match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played on December 18 in Auckland. The only four-day match between Pakistan Shaheens and New Zealand A will start on December 17 Note, all members are currently completing their isolation period in Christchurch. The 10 members of the squad tested positive for COVID-19 while two of the eight members were declared non-infectious cases.
