58 long-term observers deployed in Kyrgyzstan ahead of General Polls

DM Monitoring

Bishkek: The Common Cause Public Fund has trained and deployed 58 long-term observers to observe the pre-election period, election day and post-election period across the country, the foundation said.
This is the monitoring of the pre-election period conducted by the Fund since the announcement of the early presidential elections.
Long-term observers will observe the formation and operation of election commissions, voter lists, election campaigns, as well as record violations that may occur during the election process.
Observers will send weekly reports on the pre-election period to the expert department of the public fund, which analyzes the received information. In addition to long-term observers, experts from the fund’s head office monitor the work of the Central Election Commission and its working groups.
“Observers will collect information in their constituencies through direct contact with voters, candidates, election commissions and the media, as well as from social networks.
If during the observation they find any violations, they will record and send them to the expert department of the public fund.
The experts, in turn, will check and send them to the appropriate authorities,” said Aida Suyundueva, chairwoman of the board of the public fund.
The results of monitoring the pre-election period will be reflected in the report and published on January 5, 2021. The purpose of this report is to provide the public with objective, timely and impartial information about the pre-election period.
