Uzbek, Kyrgyz leaders discuss bilateral ties

Bishkek: Acting President of Kyrgyzstan Talant Mamytov has spoken on Wednesday by phone to Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president, during the telephone conversation the two leaders discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda and further steps of cooperation between the countries.
Talant Mamytov expressed gratitude to Uzbek leader Mirziyoyev for support and humanitarian assistance which is being provided to Kyrgyzstan in the fight against the pandemic of coronavirus infection. The acting president also assured Kyrgyzstan is determined to further strengthen political cooperation, expand trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian ties with Uzbekistan. At the end of the talk, Talant Mamytov congratulated the Uzbek president and all the people of Uzbekistan on the coming New Year 2021, and stressed the Kyrgyz side is ready for further strengthening of bilateral strategic partnership with the Republic of Uzbekistan. –PNP
