Brave cop finally loses life battle

-Funeral prayer of martyred HC offered with official honour

ISLAMABAD: A brave cop Afzal Janan who got injured on 22nd December last month, as a drug peddler shot him in the head, left for his eternal abode, here the other night. Acording to details, on 22nd December last month, Head Constable Afzal, Constable Raqeeb and Constable Athar were on routine patrol on their bikes when around Jharpul area, near Char bridge, at PS Nilore jurisdiction area, they encountered notorious drug pusher Safaras alias Kodo. Cops ran afer the given crook at which, he opened fire. A bullet caught Head Constable Afzal Janan on the forehead, critically injuring him in the process. He was instantly shifted to PIMS where his operation took place soon afterwards.
However, after fighting for around 11 days or so, the brave cop finally succumed to his injuries. His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at his hometown at Karak; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The martyre was given guard-of-honour by the contingent of Capital Cops and a State funeral. All prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. May Allah grant him the highest rank in paradise and give patience to his grieved family members. Cops have been hunting everywhere for the assassin who is unfortunately still at large.
