ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office said that the RSS-BJP regime continues to be exposed internationally for its negative propaganda against Pakistan.
Addressing weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said the irresponsible Indian actions imperil regional peace and stability.
The spokesperson urged the international community to hold India accountable for its actions vitiating the regional environment.
Responding to a question, he said Kashmiri leaders are under illegal detention in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of India, including the infamous Tihar Jail. He said that incarceration of Kashmiri people is against the fundamental human rights, international conventions, and the international law. The spokesperson said Pakistan condemns framing of concocted, fabricated, and politically motivated charges against Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik. He said a fictitious case relating to gunning down of four Indian Air Force personnel was launched against Yasin Malik in March last year by the TADA Court.
The timing of reopening of old cases suggests that the BJP government is determined to frame the Hurriyat leadership for resisting the illegal Indian occupation of the Jammu and Kashmir.
Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri expressed concerns about the health condition of Yasin Malik as he has a number of medical complications, which require appropriate treatment. He said imprisonment and torturing of Kashmiri leaders on the basis of their political ideology and struggle against illegal occupation is true reflection of extremist mindset of the BJP-RSS regime, which has no respect for human rights of the people of Kashmir. He urged the international community, especially the United Nations and Human Rights bodies, to take note of the egregious human rights violations in IIOJK and illegal incarceration of Kashmiris.
Earlier on January 7 Prime Minister Imran Khan said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) inspired ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and led by Narendra Modi had been implementing a pogrom against the Muslims and all other minorities in India, and Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In an exclusive interview with a Turkish news channel, the prime minister said the RSS was founded during 1920 and its founding fathers had been directly inspired by the Nazi party, and openly admired its racial and extremist policies.
“The RSS philosophy led to racial supremacists as even Mahatama Gandhi was assassinated by an RSS zealot. But when Modi came to power, he responded to a pogrom against the Muslims as evident from his tenure as chief minister of Gujarat where hundreds of Muslims were killed and made homeless by the fanatic Hindus supremacists,” he added.
