SA whitewash Pakistan in women ODI series

Durban: Pakistan has suffered an ODI series whitewash to South Africa as they failed to chase 202 in the final match at Kingsmead, Durban.
South Africa batted first and was provided by a positive stand by Lizelle Lee (49) and Laura Wolvaardt (58). Both girls added 79 but lost the plot in the middle of the innings.
Pacer Diana Baig removed Wolvaardt and Lara Goodall in 28th over to reduce home side to 124-3. They lost final six wickets for just 73 runs. Diana finished with figures 4/30 while Nashra Sandhu bagged two. Anam Amin, Nida Dar and Omaima Sohail picked a wicket each.
Pakistan couldn’t find momentum in the chase and lost wickets at regular intervals. Most of the batsmen had starts but couldn’t convert it into big scores. Captain Javeria Khan made 33 off 61 while Sidra Nawaz made 25.
Shabnim Ismail was awarded player of the match for her match-winning figures of 3/22. Ayabonga Khaka and Sune Luss also bagged three each. Green Shirts were bowled out for 169 in 48 overs.
Note, South Africa won first two matches by 3 and 13 runs respectively. The three-match T20I series starts on January 29.
