ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Tuesday arrested 27 outlaws including eight proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, heroin, wine, stolen valuables and weapons from their possession. Following the directions of SSP Operations Dr Syed Mustafa Tanveer, all Zonal SPs and officials of Islamabad police have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers. Following these directions SP Saddar Zone Muhammad Sarfraz Virk constituted special police team unde the supervision of PS Golra’s SHO, along with others officials whuch arrested five accused Gulzaman, Khawer Shahzad, Nabeel Qasir, Shahzad and Qasir and recovered stolen valuable from their possession. PS Secretariat caught three accused Maki, Azam and Waris and recovered two Kalashnikovs and one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession. PS Koral nabbed Pasheem Khan and recovered one 9mm pistol from him. PS Khanna apprehended accused Tufail and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. PS Karachi Company caught three accused Misbaha-Ullah, Jaber and Riaz and recovered 20 wine bottles, 140 gram heroin from their possession. Similarly, PS Ramana arrested accused Aziz and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. PS Industrial Area nabbed Kaleem and Asif and recovered one 12 bore gun and one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession. PS Noon apprehended accused Deen Muhammad and recovered 505 gram hashish from him. Golra police arrested accused Raisat Ali and recovered 120 gram heroin from him. PS Sihala caught 415 gram hashish from him.
Separate cases have been registered against these nabbed persons while further investigation is underway from them. During special crackdown against absconders, PS Aabpara, PS Tarnol, PS Ramana, PS Khanna and PS Koral teams caught eight proclaimed offenders and court absconders from various area of the city. SSP Operations Dr.Syed Tanveer Mustafa has appreciated this performance and directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against that involvement in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis. The SSP also categorically asked all SPs Zones to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
