ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, ina bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, caught 22 including eight proclaimed offenders and recovered hashish, wine and weapons from their possession.
According to details, SP Rural Zone Constituted special police team under the supervision of PS Khanna’s SHO along with others. The given teams successfully apprehended two drug peddlers namely Shahid Khan and Naseer Ullah and recovered 1.600 kilogram hashish from their possession.
PS Aabpara arrested two accused Yaqoob Maseeh and Zia-ur-Rehman and recovered three wine bottles and 200 gram hashish from their possession. PS Lohi Bher nabbed accused Muhammad Addil and recovered three wine bottles from him.
PS Sabzi Mandi apprehended Muhammad Sajjad and recovered 220 gram hashish from him. PS Industrial Area caught two accused Muhammad Subhan and Smmar and recovered 190 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession.
PS Karachi Company arrested accused Muhammad Adnan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him while the police team nabbed two Afghan national accused Rose Gul and Sher Rehman. PS Golra caught accused Muddssar Khalid and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him. Similarly, PS Koral busted two accused Muhammad Sami and Aqib Mehmood and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession. Tarnol police apprehended an afghan national Rafiullah. Cases have been registered against the booked accused while further investigation is underway. Moreover, during special inspection of the whole city, eight proclaimed offenders were caught wanted by the cops in various crime cases. DIG Operations Afzal Ahmed Kausar has appreciated the performance and asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis.
