Slain Pakistani Hindus in India

The Supreme Court on Wednesday sought an investigation report from the Foreign Office of Pakistan on the killings of 11 Pakistani Hindus in India. A three-member Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Munib Akhtar heard the case. A petition was filed by the Ms. Sharmati Makhni, a family member of the slain Hindus in Shadadpur Sindh. The Deputy Attorney General informed the court that the Foreign office had sought postmortem report from India on killing of 11 Hindus and assured Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Patron in-Chief Pakistan Hindu Council of full cooperation. During the proceeding court directed the Foreign Office to submit a written reply on the contacts and initiatives taken up with India on the issue. A 11 members Hindu family resident of Sindh went to India in 2012 for performing their religious rituals and got into a trap by Indian Intelligence Agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). After being trapped this Hindu family started living in Jodhpur District of Rajasthan. Later, RAW persuaded them to spy on Pakistan and to follow its anti-Pakistan agenda as payback to its incentives/ investment in them. The Hindu family refused to involve into this business and planned to return to Pakistan secretly. Meanwhile, the whole family found dead on Aug 9, 2020 and only surviving member was Kewal Ram. Presently, Kewal Ram, 37 is in the custody of the Indian police on murder charges. Earlier, Indian Police had tried to cover up the incident by declaring it collective suicide but remained failed. Pakistan Foreign Office had taken up the case with Indian government as it received the information about the incident. Pakistan demanded that the government of India must explained as to why the bodies of the deceased were hastily cremated without informing the High Commission for Pakistan in New Delhi and why a postmortem in the presence of Pakistan High Commission’s doctor was not permitted despite repeated requests by the High Commission. Pakistan foreign Office had asked several questions regarding the mysterious death of its nationals on Indian soil. Pakistan Foreign Office asked India to provide the medicolegal reports of the postmortem of 11 Pakistani Hindus, the photographs of the crime scene, the statements of the witnesses and neighbors and access to the surviving family member of the slain Pakistani family. The government of Pakistan clearly notified India that since the deceased were Pakistani nationals, it is mandatory upon the government of Pakistan to be fully aware of the circumstances under which its nationals died in India.

However, despite continuous calls from Pakistan, Indian government did not respond to Pakistan’s demands and remained failed to uphold its obligations under international law. In fact, Indian spy agency has been involved to lure the Pakistani Hindus into its trap during their visit to India for the purpose of Religious rituals. These innocent Hindu family got into trap and after knowing the true motives they refused to cooperate with RAW and lost their lives. Government of Pakistan must raise this case at UN and expose the Indian true face at International level.
