Bishkek: President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov held on Thursday an operational working meeting on the current epidemiological situation in the country, his press service said.
The meeting was attended by heads of regional health-organizations from all regions of the country. The current epidemiological situation in the country and necessary measures for its improvement and stabilization were discussed.
Heads of medical institutions reported on preparedness for a possible third wave of coronavirus infection pandemic, the provision of necessary medicines and personal protective equipment.
President Zhaparov set the tasks to provide medical institutions with a sufficient supply of drugs and organization of additional beds in them.
In addition, the head of state drew attention to the strengthening of work on early detection of cases of coronavirus infection, and stressed the need to immediately consider the purchase of additional batches of test systems.
At the end of the meeting, specific recommendations and instructions were given to combat further spread of coronavirus infection and improve the epidemiological situation in the republic.
Earlier, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov honored the memory of the fallen heroes of the April people’s revolution, his press service reported.
The event, which took place in the National Ata-Beyit Historical and Memorial Complex was attended by Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov, Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov, acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Nurgul Bakirova; ex-presidents Roza Otunbayeva and Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
They laid flowers at the Memorials in memory of those killed in 1916, victims of political repressions of 1937-1938, heroes of the April 2010 revolution and the grave of the writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, and also read a memorial prayer in honor of their memory.
Further, on the central Ala-Too square in Bishkek, flowers were laid at the Monument in memory of those who died for the freedom of the people during the Aksy events of 2002 and the April events of 2010. – Agencies
