PHF seeks Sindh Govt’s permission for camp

Lahore: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has contacted Sindh Government to set up a camp for the Junior Asia Cup’s preparations.
The camp was scheduled to start from April 9 at Abdul Sattar Edhi Stadium in Karachi, however, due to the suspension of sports activities across Sindh, the camp has not started yet.
PHF assures the federal, Sindh government to set up the cricket-style bio-bubble environment for the camp. The PHF has already contacted the NCOC regarding the vaccination of players.
Remember, PHF invited 35 players to the camp earlier this week. Olympian Danish Kaleem will serve as Camp Commandant while players will train under the coaching of Zaheer Ahmed Babar and Mudassar Ali Khan. It must be noted that the 9th edition of the Men’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup will be played in Dhaka, Bangladesh from July 1-10. The tournament serves as the Asian qualifier for the 2021 FIH Junior World Cup, with the top four qualifying. – PNP
