Eight killed in Shanghai factory fire

SHANGHAI: Eight people, including two firefighters, were killed in a factory fire in Shanghai, local authorities confirmed on Friday.
The fire erupted at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at a plant in Shanghai’s Jinshan District that mainly manufactures electronic product accessories.
The blaze was finally put out at around 6:20 a.m. on Friday. During the overnight search however, two firefighters went missing while looking for trapped workers, officials said in a statement.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
