Three booked for looting people in guise of public transporters

ISLAMABAD: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has arrested three criminals, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
The action was made in line with strict directives by DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmad Kausar. The DIG asked police officials that to curb crime and secure the city against criminals should be top priority of the department.
Subsequently, the SSP (Investigation) Atta ur-Rehman constituted a special police team under the supervision of DSP CIA Hakim Khan including Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) Rana Tasneem, Usman Bashrat and others for surprise checking in various areas of the city.
The team nabbed three members of a criminal gang.. They have been identified as Muhammad
Sajjad, Muhammad Ilyas and Karmat while police team arrested three members of ladies gang also and Police team has recovered gold ornaments, cash and vehicle use in crime from their possession.
The case has been registered against them and further investigation is underway from them.
During preliminary investigation, they confessed to be involved in looting the people in guise of public transporters. Police have also impounded vehicle used by them for such activities.
Further-more under the supervision of DSP CIA ASIs Sadeer Abbasi and Bashrat and others arrested five members of dacoit gang. They have been identified as Yasir Khan, Sulman Khan, Sulman Khan, Rehmat Ullah and Sulman, Jamal Khan and recovered three pistols along with ammunition use in crime from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against them at Sabzi Mandi police stations and further investigation is underway.
The DIG appreciated the performance and directed all police officials to remain vigilant in their respective areas and to ensure safety and security of the citizens.
