ISLAMABAD: Ramna circle of Islamabad Police has arrested three snatchers gang involved innumerous incidents of snatching in different areas of the city.
He said that, following the orders of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman and DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmad Kausar, a massive crackdown against those criminals involved in crime of heinous nature is continued in the city.
According to the details, Police Stations Ramna and Shalimar teams under supervision of SDPO Ramna Hakim Khan have arrested 09 accused involved in numerous incidents of street crimes and snatching in different areas of Islamabad. The teams alsore covered snatched mobile phones, cash and drugs worth 0.6 million.The accused are identified as Shah Zeb s/o Shah Muhammad, Nazim Ashfaq s/o Ghulam Ashfaq,Attiq Ur Rehman s/o Aziz Ur Rehman, Tasawar Hussain s/o Munawar Hussain, Ghulam Abbas s/o Ghulam Hussain, Muhammad Imran s/o Noor Hussain, Ghafar Ali s/o Manzoor Hussain, Jamal Hussain s/o Akhtar Hussain and Suleman Khan s/o Fehmeedkhan. During the investigation, the accused have confessed 09 incidents of street crimes and snatching. Further investigation is underway.
DIG(Operations) has appreciated the performance of the team and announced rewards for them. He further directed all zonal SPs to intensify the security in their respective areas and remain vigilant.
