ISLAMABAD: The police arrested a youth along with wife, who killed his uncle (brother of mother) after exchange of hot words and recovered murder weapon here on Thursday.
According to details, accused Hammad exchanged hot words with his maternal-uncle Nawazish Ali on December 29, 2021 in jurisdiction of Shalimar police station. The verbal clash turned violent after with Hammad gunned down his uncle and escaped the scene.
On directions of SHO Shalimar police station Tipu Sultan, the police team carried on investigation using latest technology and arrested Hammad along with his wife besides recovering a 30 bore pistol and ammunition from his possession. The Islamabad Police chief, Ahsan Younas has lauded the performance of the police team which participated in operation to arrest the accused.
