PESHAWAR: FIA CBC Peshawer on Tuesday started crackdown
against illegal business of currency exchange and Hawala Hundi in chowk
Yadgaar, Peshawar, and arrested three accused dealers.
According to details, FIA CBC Peshawar on the direction of Worthy Director
General FIA Dr Sanaullah Abbasi and Director KP Mujahid Akbar Khan Deputy
Director FIA CBC Peshawer has constituted special Raiding team; as a
consequence three separate raids were conducted against illegal Hundi Hawala
dealers in chowkyadgar Peshawar.
The arrested accused were identified as Zikriya s/o Muhammad Daud (Afghan
national) and Rs 21,50,000/ other incriminating evidence related to Hundi
hawala were recovered from his possession
RS 8,00,000 and other incriminating evidence related to Hundi hawala was
recovered from an arrested accused Haji Sawab Jan s/o Jumraiz Khan R/O
Surizai Peshawar.
In another raid Muhammad Zubair s/o Izat Shah R/O Kurram Agency was arrested
and RS 16,27,500 and other incriminating evidence related to Hundi hawala
were recovered from his possession.
FIA source said that cases were registered against the three accused and
further investigation was underway. -Agencies
