ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday has reserved verdict on a case pertaining to alleged audio clip of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar.
During the hearing, petitioner Salahuddin advocate, Attorney General of Pakistan Khalid Jawed Khan and Pakistan Bar Council member Hassan Pasha appeared before the court.
The AGP argued the judicial history has shown that right man always faces criticism.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the viral leaked audio clip, Justice (retd) Saqib Nisar allegedly passed instructions to some unidentified person to sentence Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.
Justice (retd) Saqib Nisar termed the clip as fabricated and based on a lie. He further said, “I never talked to anyone on the phone on this issue like that.”
He said that such things were being made to carry out my deliberate character assassination.
