Eight members of two criminal gangs held

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police arrested eight accused of two criminal gangs involved in numerous robbery and motorbike theft incidents.
According to details, IG Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas has issued special orders for prevention of crime and arrest of criminal elements and recovery of stolen property. Following directions, SP City Zone Kamran Aamir Khan constituted special police team under the supervision of SDPO Hakim Khan headed by SHO Bhara Kahu along with others. The police team arrested four accused of a bike lifters gang.
The accused were identified as Hasnain alias Ehtsham, Samar Abbas, Hamd Tariq and Farman Ullah resident of Nehi Abadi Bhara and recovered four motorbikes and spar parts from their possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed and further investigation is underway. Furthermore SP Saddar Zone Tasawar Iqbal constituted special police team under the supervision of SDPO Raja Tahir headed by SHO Tarnol Sub-Inspector Iqbal along with others. The police team arrested four members of a dacoit gang.
The accused were identified as Muhammad Tariq, Yasir Ali, Hassan Ali and Muhammad Irfan and recovered cash and arm ammunition used in crime. The accused were former jail bird and also involved in numerous cases of robberies in different areas of the city. Cases have been registered against the nabbed and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad has appreciated the performance of police teams and announced commendation certificates along with cash rewards for policemen.
