Punjab Culture Day observed in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD : Under the directions of the Punjab government, Punjab Culture Day was observed throughout the district and main ceremony was held at Jinnah Bagh. Divisional Commissioner Zahid Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Ali Shahzad, CPO Ghulam Mubashar Maiken, parliamentarians Latif Nazar, Firdous Rai and PTI leader Mian Azad Kastro inagurated the Culture day. ADCG Qaiser Abbas Rind, AC City Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf, Director Arts Council Zahid Iqbal and others were also present. The world record holder Sadii Ahmed pulled the car through his moustache. Horse and Camel dance were also presented while rally was also held at the evening the fireworks also worked. Divisional Commissioner and other officers visited the stalls and appreciated the efforts of stall holders. The officers of the divisional and district administrations wore traditional Punjabi dress shalwar kameez, waist coat besides traditional turban on their heads and carried out official matters in their offices. They also holding official meetings in the offices and also listened to the problems of the public who were heading to the offices for work related to various government departments. The Divisional Commissioner said Centuries-old Punjabi culture is being highlighted on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab. He said that the culture of Punjab includes the colors of all the nations of the beloved homeland. Deputy Commissioner said that Love, peace, brotherhood, unity and tolerance are the hallmarks of Punjab’s culture and Punjab has a unique place at the international level. He said that the purpose of Punjab Culture Day was to further spread the beautiful colors of Punjab culture. He said that only nations connected with culture move forward and the soil of Punjab smells of love, hospitality and morality. He said that Faisalabad is also a culturally fertile region and the people of Faisalabad are attached to their culture. Later DC went to different schools and visited the stalls. Meanwhile the colorful event was held at MC girls high school Millat colony. Principal Rubina Shaheen visited the stalls arranged by students to show the Punjabi Culture. The event was also held at Divisional Information Office where Interns of CM Punjab program holds stall. Director Information Muhammad Awais Abid looks the stall and appreciated the efforts of students. Meanwhile at Tehsil Level the Punjab culture day was also observed.
