Blind murder traced; accused arrested

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have traced and arrested an accused involved in a blind murder case, a police spokesman said.

He said that, on 27th April, 2022 dead body of Abdul Jabar s/o Muhammad Akram was found from a room of his dera who was killed by unknown accused adding that the police registered a case FIR No. 186/22 U/S 302/34 PPC and started investigation.

IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas took the notice of the murder incidnet and directed the SP City to trace the accused as soon as possible.

An investigation team headed by SHO Bani Gala Malik Rasheed, Inspector Ghulam Mustafa of Investigation wing and other officails worked day and night and with help of intelligence resources and CCTV footages traced the blind murder case. Police team arrested the murderer namely Farman Altaf s/o Muhammad Altaf a resident of Khushab who has confessed the murder incident. Further investigation is underway.

IGP Islamabad and SSP Operations appreciated the performance of the team. SSP Operations said that Islamabad police is taking all out efforts to curb the crime from the city.
