ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting to review the economic situation in the country on Thursday.
The prime minister expressed indignation over worst loadshedding of power, reprimanding the Power Division and Minister for Energy. The meeting discussed the steps to stabilize the value of rupee and economy. During the meeting, the relevant Ministry ordered to present the statistics of demand, production and load shedding.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also held a meeting of the party leaders. The meeting also discussed the points of the prime minister’s address to the nation. PM Shehbaz Sharif is likely to address the nation on Friday.
In a tweet, Pm Shehbaz Sharif said: “My decision to ban import of luxury items will save the country precious foreign exchange. We will practice austerity and financially stronger people must lead in this effort so that the less privileged among us do not have to bear this burden inflicted on them by the PTI govt.” Meanwhile, Punjab PML-Q President Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has said that the nation will soon get rid of the curse spread by the Sharifs.
In a statement on Thursday, he said that the PML-N ticket had become a ticket of a failed film. The Punjab Assembly speaker said that the federal government cannot go more than one month. “The game of the Sharifs is over.
They are unable to understand what has happened.” Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi said that Tariq Bashir Cheema and Saalik Hussain will destroy them. “Imran Khan used to say me that do not allow Hamza, but I did not listen to him and continued to issue the production orders for him,” he added.
Chaudhary Moonis Elahi said that they would not let anyone stage one-man show in Punjab. “Hamza himself does not want the cabinet in Punjab. It is Punjab, not the poultry farm owned by Hamza Shehbaz.
He wants to keep all the powers,” he maintained.
