Culprits identified in students’ firing incident

ISLAMABAD: Culprits have been identified in students’ firing incident. When contacted, sources in Capital Cops told The Daily Mail that not only the culprits of a clashing group of students have been identified but hunt is in fact, also on for finding them. Sources further stated that when cops reached their homes, they were locked from outside and the culprits had already fled. However, they said that cops would ensure their arrest at the earliest.
According to details, An incident of firing took place at PS Bara Kaho jurisdiction area, Simli Dam road, here this Thursday. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas, taking note of the incident, ordered a detailed report from SP City while directing for arresting perpetrators of the crime at the earliest.
Moreover, during preliminary investigation, a clash between two student groups occurred in which one boy opened fire that caught another boy who was in a van passing by the clashers. The bullet hit the boy in the calf. The injured was shifted to the hospital where his condition has been declared out of danger. Senior police officers along personnel remained at the spot right after getting the tip of the clash and strategy was being chalked out to bust the elements involved in the clash at the earliest.
A case was registered at PS Bara Kaho on the complaint of Ali Akbar S/O Ghulam, resident of Prince Road, Street 1, near Muhammadi Masjid. The FIR stated that the complainent’s son Awais Ahmad, student of 9th grade, was on his way back home after giving his paper at some government school, along with his friends Waseem, Shukoor and Aqib on the bike when a little before Siri Chawk, 5 to 6 boys on two bikes, tried to make their bike fall down.
Moreover, upon reaching Siri Chowk, the three boys were made to fall off the bike and the rival group started beating them with sticks. Then, one of the culprits called an ally and another boy came in a black car and yet another on a bike. Both had Guns in hand. They tried to kill Awais and his friends and also did aerial firing. The local residents saved the boys through hectic efforts.
One of the armed boys hit Awais with the tip of the gun, on his face. During firing, AIMs school van that was passing by, it’s driver and a student boy got injured. The culprits were later identified as residents of Athal Chawk. The incident took place around 1pm on Thursday and the culprits intended to kill Awais and his friends.
The culprits were later identified and are being hunted down while the cops are hopeful of their arrests.
