SUKHEKI: Four members of the same family were killed when a truck rammed into the car they were sitting in on motorway near Sukheki interchange Thursdfay.
Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi expressed his grievances on the sad incident.
A family of Shekhupura was travelling back to their hometown from Sargodha after attending a funeral.
On their way back, the tyre of the car burst and the car slammed into the truck near Sukheki interchange. While the truck driver fled from the place of the incident.
CM elahi while passing condolences to the family of the killed passengers, ordered to make a report of the incident and arrest the driver as soon as possible.
In a separate road accident, four members of the same family were killed when a trailer rammed into the van they were sitting in on motorway at Hafizabad, police said on Thursday.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the driver was changing tyre of the van when trailer crashed into it from behind.
Those who were killed belonged to Sharaqpur Sharif near Sheikhupura, they informed.
The accident took place after driver of the trailer dozed off, they disclosed. Police said the bodies had been shifted to hospital. –Agencies
