CIA foils bid to smuggle contrabands

ISLAMABAD: CIA of Islamabad Police has foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics and recovered acache of hashish. Capital Police Officer Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respectiveareas and arrest those involved in criminal activities and looting innocentpeople.
Following these directions, a police team of CIA foiled a bidto smuggle drugs in a vehicle and arrested two accused. The accused were identified as Muhammad Yasir and Wahid Ullah. The Police team also recovered 21,200gram hashish and a vehicle from their possession.
Case has been registered against the accused at BharaKahu police station and further investigation is underway. During preliminary investigation the accused confessed to smuggling drugs from KPK to different districts of Punjab. Capital Police Officer Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha has appreciated the performance of the police team and said that Islamabad Police is making all out efforts for the safety and security of citizens. He also requested the citizens to inform police in case of any suspicious activity in their areas.
