ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police apprehended five criminals and recovered hashish, and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against criminal elements in order to eliminate the criminal elements from this city.
Following these directives, the Tarnol police team arrested a drug peddler namely Hayat Gul and recovered 1215 gram hashish from their possession. The Lohi Bher police arrested an accused namely Talha Butt and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Moreover, the Kirpa police arrested three accused namely Umar Javed, Shahbaz Ahmed and Mukhtar Hussain and recovered 1050 gram heroin and two 30 bore pistols from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad said that the safety of lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
