ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital police apprehended eight criminals and recovered drugs and shisha from their possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad capital police intensified crackdown against criminal elements in order to eliminate the criminal elements from this city.
Following these directives, the Koral police team arrested an accused namely Rozi Khan and recovered 1250 gram hashish from his possession. Likewise Sangjani police team arrested an accused namely Irshad involved in illegally selling petrol.
Similarly, the Shalimar police arrested three accused namely Awais, Gulab Khan, and Hub Ali shah and recovered hookahs and shisha from their possession. Kohsar police arrested an accused namely Umer Ghafoor and recovered shisha from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested two accused from different areas of a city.
IGP Islamabad said that the safety of lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
