IGP hails CTD’s role in maintaining Law & Order

ISLAMABAD: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Islamabad capital police is playing its important role in maintaining law and order in the city and it has professional capability to counter any challenging situation. It was stated by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan while reviewing the performance of the CTD.
The IGP Islamabad said that establishment of special force (CTD) was crucial to counter any terrorism like incident and combat crime effectively. “This force has performed effectively since its inception and its role is very important to eradicate crime” he added.
He said that well educated and well trained personnel of CTD Islamabad are well prepared to combat any challenging situation in the city adding that special training sessions are being arranged to boost and maintain their professional capabilities.
The IGP Islamabad also ordered SSP CTD to brief the personnel about the discipline and duty on daily bases before their deployment. On Monday, senior officers of CTD briefed the personnel in its complex and briefed them about the orders of high command.
Funeral prayer of cop held

Funeral prayer of Assistant Sub-Inspector of Islamabad capital police Zameer Ajmal was offered at Sanam Chowk, senior police officers and a large number of police officials and citizens offered the funeral prayer.

The IGP condoled with the family of the deceased and said that Islamabad Capital Police stands with the bereaved family and will take care of them in every possible way.
Police reunites missing
girl with parents

Islamabad capital police Margalla police station reunited a missing girl with her parents, a Police Public Relation Officer said. According to details, a citizen Zahir Khan submitted an application at Margalla police station that his daughter, namely Mahpari had been missing and could not be traced despite hectic efforts by family members. Upon receiving the application, the police team immediately started the investigation. The police team used the technical and human resources and succeeded to trace the missing girl and reunited with parents.
