Indus Dyeing and Manufacturing Company’s profit rises

ISLAMABAD: Indus Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Limited’s revenue increased 51% to Rs36 billion in the first nine months of the financial year 2021-22 (9MFY22) compared with Rs23.9 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
The gross profit of the company stood at Rs7.4 billion during the 9MFY22 against a profit of Rs3.5 billion in the corresponding period of FY21, registering an increase of 114%.
The company posted a net profit of Rs5.4 billion during the first nine months of FY22 compared to Rs2.2 billion in the same period of FY21, posting a massive growth of 145%, reports WealthPK.
Performance in FY21

During the financial year 2020-21, the company generated revenue of Rs48.8 billion against Rs37.2 billion in FY20, posting an increase of 31%.
The gross profit for FY21 stood at Rs6.6 billion, 93% up from Rs3.4 billion in FY20.
The profit-after-tax for the year jumped to Rs3.9 billion, higher by a striking 199% than Rs1.3 billion in FY20.

Earnings Per Share
The earnings per share (EPS) of the company witnessed a mixed trend during recent years. The EPS increased to Rs95.4 in 2019 from Rs76.28 in 2018, but then it plunged to Rs17.67 in 2020. This major decrease was because of a slump in economic activity due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the EPS jumped in 2021 to Rs60.94.
Indus Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Limited was established as a public limited company in Pakistan on July 23, 1957, under the Companies Act, 1913. Production and sale of yarn is the company’s main business.
