Funeral prayer of martyred cop offered at Police Lines HQs

ISLAMABAD: A funeral prayer of martyred Head Constable Adeel Hussain offered at police lines headquarters.
In a funeral prayer a large number of police personnel including Secretary Interior, IGP Islamabad, CPO Operations, civil administration, Pak rangers and other senior police officers attended the funeral prayers of martyred police officer at police line headquarters.
Later, the body of the martyr has been sent to his native village Pakpattan, where he will be buried with full police honors. He is survived by a widow, two sons and a daughter.
According to details, security was kept on high alert in Islamabad and strict checking was going on at the entry and exit points of the city and the inner city.
On Friday, the Eagle Squad officials signaled to stop a suspicious taxi on the I-14 sector Service Road. After which the suicide bomber present inside a vehicle blew himself up.
Police officer Head Constable Adeel Hussain was killed on the spot while four policemen were injured in the blast. The injured were shifted to nearby hospital for immediate treatment. Soon after the incident, senior police officers rushed to the spot with a heavy contingent of police force.
The martyred head constable showed great bravery and saved Islamabad from a major disaster. There is a long history of officers and jawans who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the country and the nation and Shaheed Adeel Hussain wrote his name in golden words.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad said that the nation salutes the martyred and injured soldiers. The terrorists have been targeting the police for some time now to demoralize the morale of law enforcement agencies, he added.
