ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force’s (ANF) crackdown against drug peddlers continued as they foiled bids to smuggle huge quantities of narcotics in operations on Friday.
According to ANF spokesman, the ANF officials impounded a car on GT Road T-Chowk in Islamabad and arrested two accused after confiscating 256kg and 800 grams of hashish and 39kg and 600 grams of opium from their vehicle. Both accused were the residents of Khyber and Peshawar, respectively. nSeparately, ANF and Punjab Rangers conducted a joint operation in Kasur and recovered 2 kg and 900 grams of heroin from two accused said to be the residents of Lahore. Separate cases have been registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
