ISLAMABAD: Robbers opened fire at cops at PS Karachi Company’s jurisiction area G-10/1, resulting in critically injuring a cop personnel namely Kamran-ud-Din. The injured cop was instantly shifte to PIMS. Moreover, a robber was also killed in the encounter.
Accoring to details, cops got a tip that three robbers were fleeing away after robbery at G-10. The cops reached the scene and were following the crooks when they opened blind fire on the police party, critically injuring one cop who was later shifte to PIMS where he is still under treatment. As a response, the cops also fired at their assailants, killing one in the process. The rest managed to flee through crossfire.
IGP Islamabad Akbar Nasir Khan along other senior officers of Capital Cops, reached the spot. A search operation is underway for the arrest of the other accused.
