RAWALPINDI: An official of sensitive agency was injured in firing of unidentified armed men on a vehicle here on Wednesday.
Police said that unknown culprits sprayed bullets on vehicle of Major Farhan in jurisdiction of Morgah police station in Rawalpindi.
As a result firing, Major Farhan sustained bullet wounds in shoulder and attackers fled the scene of crime.
The injured sensitive agency official was shifted to CMH Rawalpindi for treatment and police after registering a case against unidentified assailants have started an investigation.
ANF foils smuggling bid
ISLAMABAD: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) authorities on Wednesday foiled a bid to smuggle ice heroin from Islamabad International Airport through a Madina-bound flight.
The accused person concealed 2.982 k.g ice heroin and 8000 drug capsule in his bag and during checking at the Islamabad airport, the authorities caught him red-handed trying to smuggle it via a Madina-bound flight.
