ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 13 outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Bhara Kahu police team arrested a bootlegger namely Abdul Ghani and recovered 40 liters of alcohol from his possession. Kirpa police arrested an accused namely Zaryab and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from his possession. Likewise, the Lohibher police team arrested four accused namely Azan Shah, Mubashar Iqbal, Sajjad and Muhammad Waqar involved in illegal petrol selling. During the crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested 07 absconders from different areas of the city.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
