RAWALPINDI: A soldier of the Pakistan Army on Monday embraced mar-tyrdom as an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in general area Jani Khel of Bannu district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the martyred sol-dier was identified as Sepoy Gul Sher (age 24 years, resident of Khyber dis-trict). It added that the sanitisation of the area was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists in the area.
“On 23 January 2023, an improvised explosive device exploded in general area Jani Khel, Bannu District. Resultantly, Sepoy Gul Sher (age 24 years, resident of District Khyber) embraced shahadat. Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists in the area”, the statement stated. –Agencies
