4-Day Road Safety Workshop held at MoFA

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police Traffic Division arranged a four-day road safety workshop at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to acquaint the staff with traffic laws.
Islamabad Police have been arranging lectures at various educational and government institutions, aiming to inculcate traffic sense among the road users. In this regard, a workshop was organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where the Education Team of Islamabad police delivered lectures on road safety tips. Around 80 staffers including drivers attended this workshop.
The aim of holding such workshops was to acquaint the people with traffic laws while inculcating better traffic sense among them. Islamabad Police was doing its utmost effort to maintain traffic discipline in the city while conducting inspection through modern technology in order to control traffic rules violations.
At the end of the workshop, the Islamabad police presented a shield to deputy secretary Yawar Abbas, Deputy Secretary West Farasat and certificates to the workshop participants. Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad said that, the Islamabad police has arranged several workshops and programmes in various educational and government institutions and would continue to deliver lectures in the future as well. These workshops are helpful in providing a disciplined traffic system in the city, he added.

Refresher course for CTD personnel organized

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan special refresher courses for CTD personnel are being arranged with a purpose to combat any untoward situation effectively and to avert any terrorism like incidents.
The courses are aimed at enhancing the capabilities of police officers and adopting the best strategy in case of an emergency.
The IGP Islamabad said that the establishment of a special force (CTD) was crucial to counter any terrorism like incident and combat crime effectively. He said that this force has performed effectively since its inception and it is also playing a vital role in eradicating crime from the city, he maintained.
