Key SOEs to get disciplinary inspections

BEIJING: Thirty centrally administered State-owned enterprises will be examined in the first round of routine disciplinary inspection of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
According to a list issued by the inspection leadership group of the CPC Central Committee on Monday, this round of inspection will also reinspect the Party committees of five centrally administered financial enterprises: China Investment Corporation, China Development Bank, Agricultural Development Bank of China, China Everbright Group and People’s Insurance Company (Group) of China Limited.
Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the inspection leadership group, addressed a meeting on the inspection work on Monday, saying that inspection is an important part of the Party and State supervision system and a strategic institutional arrangement for exercising full and rigorous governance of the Party.
The routine disciplinary inspection of centrally administered State-owned enterprises should focus on issues including whether the Party organization adheres to the Party’s overall leadership and fulfills the principal responsibility of exercising full and rigorous governance of the Party, in order to identify major contradictions and prominent problems that impede high-quality development, said Li, who is also secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
