Jordan Envoy condoles death of Minister

ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Jordan Ibrahim Almadani has expressed heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of the Religions Minister in a road accident.
In his Twitter message, he said, ‘deeply saddened to learn about the death of Pakistan’s religious affairs minister Mufti Abdul Shakoor in an accident. May Allah grant him a place in Jannat al-Firdous. My sincere condolences to the Government, people of Pakistan, family and friends of the deceased’.
Earlier on Saturday evening, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Maulana Abdul Shakoor died in a road accident when a vehicle rammed into his car near Secretariat Chowk, police said.
The Police spokesperson said Maulana Abdul Shakoor was heading towards Secretariat Chowk from Marriott near Iftar timings when a Hilux Revo carrying five men hit his car.
Maulana Abdul Shakoor was shifted to Polyclinic Hospital but he could not survive and succumbed to his injuries. –Agences
