Comprehensive strategies ordered for preventing crime

ISLAMABAD: CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari has categorically directed all police officials to maintain high vigilance in the city to eradicate crimes and ensure an effective crackdown against criminals.
CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad chaired an important meeting regarding crime prevention. The meeting was attended by SSP Operations Malik Jameel Zafar, SP plan and Patrolling, SP investigation, Zonal DPOs, SDPOs, and Officers In-Charge/Muhtamim of all police stations.
The CPO/DIG Operations reviewed the performance of the all police stations in detail and suspended five Officers In-Charge/Muhtamim of Aabpara, Ramna, Kohsar, Industrial Area and Shams Colony police stations, While officers In-Charge/Muhtamim of Kirpa, Sabzi Mandi, Shahzad Town and Khanna were given instructions for improving the situation while officers In-Charge / Muhtamim of Shalimar and Shahzad Town were awarded for their good performance.
On this occasion, while issuing directions to the officers, he said that in the upcoming meeting, the performance of all the officers will be reviewed and there will be no compromise on the addition of crimes.
He further directed the officials to ensure the arrest of the suspects involved in vehicle and motorcycle theft especially against those involved in murder cases adding that the ratio of challan of the cases and recoveries should be increased.
He asked the officers to evolve a comprehensive strategy for prevention of crimes, elimination of drugs.
The campaign against beggars should be accelerated; especially their facilitators should be identified and arrested, he added.
Implement the parking area token system in the areas, make patrolling more efficient and purposeful, the police station vehicle should be deployed at the main area of its jurisdiction if it was found parked in the police station then a strict departmental action will be taken against the concerned officer of the police station.
All the SDPOs are directed to patrol their areas from 07:00 PM to 11:00 PM at night and zonal DPOs will check their live location and strict action would be taken against those showing laxity in this regard.
CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad further directed the officials to utilize every possible resource to protect the life and property of citizens and pursue the cases on merit and transparency. He stressed that no negligence should be tolerated in the line of duty.
