Three-day sports event begins at Lines HQs

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to foster healthy activities among Islamabad capital police officers and officials, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, kick-started a three-day games initiative at the Police Lines Headquarters.
The event witnessed an exhilarating football match between Islamabad Capital Police and the National Highway Authority, as well as a thrilling volleyball match between Islamabad capital police Security Division and Logistics Division. Islamabad Capital Police in the football match while the Logistics division was declared victorious in the volleyball match.
Following the directions of ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has initiated this sporting extravaganza to motivate the police personnel and cultivate a culture of physical and mental well-being alongside their law and order responsibilities. By organizing such activities, the Islamabad capital police aims to engage its officials in healthy pursuits while developing their overall fitness and enhancing their job performance.
Speaking about the importance of the games, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, highlighted the significance of encouraging the police personnel to adopt healthy activities and nurture their physical and mental development.
He emphasized that these initiatives would remain a constant feature in the realm of sports within the force, he further added that, ensuring the protection of life and property of the citizens providing a friendly and conducive environment for police officials are among the top priorities of Islamabad capital police.
