Media shows strong growth in responsibility

BEIJING: Over 500 media organizations, ranging from central news agencies to county-level media centers, issued their social responsibility report for 2022 this year.
It has witnessed an increase of over one hundred media agencies compared to the previous year. Additionally, several provinces, including Heilongjiang, Shaanxi and Hunan, expanded the coverage of their reports to include media outlets at the provincial, municipal and county levels.
The Media Social Responsibility Report for 2022 was also recently released, which is the 10th consecutive media social responsibility report since its launch in 2014. It shows that the news sector has played a vital role in disseminating the Party’s theories, guidelines and policies, especially the major themes such as the publicizing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, as well as coordinating efforts in epidemic prevention and control, and economic and social development.
